YOU ARE NOT ALONE

One of the most common things I hear from people that want to create online courses, but don't, is that they worry whether they can sell their course. They worry so much, and doubt themselves so much, that they just end up not making one, because they don't know if it would sell. So, uncertainty and risk prevent people from taking action, and it makes sense.

I have to agree that there is nothing worse than investing all that time and money, only to find out that nobody wants to buy your course. But, it doesn't have to be that way. You see, you can find out before you start creating your course if people would be interested in buying it. So you can reduce that risk, and in some cases, remove it completely. There are actually proven methods that you can use, to make sure this doesn't happen to you.

Firstly, a course is like any other product launch. You should do the research. And it couldn't be easier with online courses.. you could use tools like Ubersuggest.com, Google Keyword Planner, to see if people are looking for the terms that match your course offering. But you can also check YouTube, and see if there are videos on your topic. In this case, you want to make sure that there are lots of videos, with lots of views, so you know you have a rich beefy market to sell to.

But the best thing you can do, is survey your email list, or your database. And ask them, what is their biggest challenge?

Or you could run a course idea by them, and just ask them if they would be interested in buying it, when it comes out. And in some cases, as with some of my clients, you might even pre-sell your course, before you've even created it.

Too many people sit with their online course stuck in their head... dreaming, wanting or hoping to create it 'one day'... putting it off till that 'perfect time'. Maybe you think it's too complicated, time consuming or expensive?

Well it doesn't have to be... and now is the perfect time. Course creation is still in its infancy and expected to grow exponentially over the next 5 years. The question is do you want to be part of it?
