HOW NOT TO CREATE AN ONLINE COURSE

Jonathan Rose

THIS CAN HELP YOUR ONLINE COURSE CREATION

I’m seeing lots of training providers, workshop facilitators and coaches do the logical thing during times like these… they are converting their face-to-face workshops into online courses.

It makes sense right? If we can’t run the workshops, let's move online.

I see it a lot on LinkedIn - a bunch of online courses created super-quick with the aim of replicating live workshops but…. unfortunately it’s not that simple.

The chances are they’ll be wasting loads of time and energy creating the course at lightning speed...only to create something they’ll struggle to sell (although the face-to-face workshops probably sold very well).

Their sales are doomed to drop online.

Why?

You see, as soon as you upload an online course to the world wide web….BOOM!

Suddenly your competition has gone from Robert’s NLP in South Manchester to a huge market of hundreds of NLP online courses, in the US, Australia and Europe... some selling for as low as £9.99 (*gulp*).

How can you compete in a marketplace where supply and demand rule?

And what do you do?

The right way to transition your course or workshops online is to create an online course that is different - around YOU, your expertise and your prospects (Yes, the ‘you’ is in big caps).

People will pay premium prices to learn from you (personally), your unique methods and content that is tailored to solving their problems.

As a result, your online course can potentially make even more sales than your face-to-face workshops and enable you to continue delivering workshops online without a frustrating Corona pay cut.

Now it’s not a process that can be done overnight, there is work do be done and effort to put in but it's all worth it when the sales come in. At the moment I’m teaching these principles in my online Lockdown Course Creation Bootcamp and it’s what I do with my 121 consultancy clients.

Do you want to stop trying to 'figure out' this online course stuff, spending hours watching 'free' tip videos and analyzing how other people are doing it? Now is the perfect time to finally get your training/workshop online, create a revenue channel during these tough times and start your online business.
